This print was created for Gallery1988's Fake Gig Posters show, where artists were asked to create posters for fictional concerts from the fictional musicians of movies and television. For my entry I chose to pay tribute to Jessica Rabbit, the sulty, sexy siren of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? I wanted to render her in an appropriately cartoony style, but also add some depth and roundness to her form, which I did by using looser, more painterly brushstrokes in her hair and clothing. The design was inspired by "femme fatale" movie posters of the 1940s.
