This painting was created for Gallery1988's tribute show to writer/director Joss Whedon. I chose Whedon's film "The Cabin In The Woods" for my inspiration, but decided that I didn't want to depict a literal scene from the movie. So I decided to create an image that was more symbolic of the film's concept... which, in turn, made for a very fun, "pulpy" piece.
